OK so i just checked out the course structure for my course - visual comm and it's not that bad lah. Initially i wasn't too crazy about my course when i visited the students' works site the night i submitted my JAE but i still put it as my 1st choice. WTH ryt? Advertising & Illustration r such a NO2 for me. OK, so as i said earlier after browsing thru my course structure i'm pleased to know that i dun have Maths and Sciences to study for. SO a BIG YEY to that. OK, lemme now introduce to you wad Visual Communication is all about becoz when i tell people i got into Visual Comm some of them really have no idea what it is.
Some of the core subjects i will learn are Design History & Culture (gasp!), History of Graphic Design (gasp!), Typography & Layout, Photography, Advertising (BOO!), Web Design & many more. And then in year 3 i think i can choose to major in one of these 3 options - Graphic Design, Illustration or Photography. Under Photography there is a subject called Fashion Imaging! How kewl! I guess i will be able to live my dream of working for a Fashion Magazine after all.. I can be like Wilhelmina Slater from Ugly Betty (: Creative editor of MODE magazine. LOL & OMG i'm a design student from TP lah sey
