I received an e-mail from my mom today regarding Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS). It is actually a floor cleaner AND this chemical is sadly found in certain shampoos. They are used so as to produce more foam or lather if i'm not wrong. Shampoos include Clear (which i used b4), Garnier Fructis (which i wanted to use), Vo5, Palmolive, Paul Mitchell, L'Oreal (which i also used b4) and Body Shop. What a letdown!
Upon reading this e-mail i immediately went to the toilet and threw away my Clear shampoo. I wanted to thank my mom and had to re-research my choices of hair products. And then i decided to read the ingredients in all the other shampoos found in my toilet and surprise2. Head and shoulders contains SLS, Charles Worthington contains SLS and Pantene contains Ammonium Laureth Sulfate. LOLS. okay breathe. Come to think of it, most shampoos contain SLS. Now seriously speaking should we take caution of this chemical??
